Except he DIDN'T speak to her before. *I* was the one who called, and there was NO mention of any diagnostic, fee or otherwise. I was asked why I thought it was the fuel pump, and I said that the B mechanic had looked at it when my mother couldn't start her Jeep to go home yesterday.
The service Dept at this place is horrible! I have experience in the automotive service field and the way my relatives were treated was pathetic! My relative had an issue that made the vehicle not safe to drive. This dealer did nothing to help with the repair or submit a goodwill claim. They flat out said sorry $850 to fix!. The item that failed is not something that should happen with low miles and Jeep is well aware of the concern. The advisor kept pushing services "Thanks to the wonderful consulting tactics of John Sherriff and not fix the problem they came in for . They wanted the issue fixed and not change the spark plugs or change the cabin filter. This was not the priority at this time as the vehicle could not be driven. After a simple call to Jeep and a trip to another dealer they were treated very fair and even offered a loaner from the other dealer. Not professional!

I called and sent my mother's Jeep up with AAA to get a new fuel pump, as diagnosed by the mechanics for the BRTA (presumably they know what they're talking about). Mitchell from Bedard calls and leaves a message today saying the Jeep is done. I pass it along to my mother. She calls me back because apparently in addition to the repairs, he's charging her $100 for a 'diagnostic' listing a bunch of 'leaks' that he "said he would run when he spoke to her before."
Suffice it to say, we are NOT happy.
Thanks for such great service when we were 10 hours from home and needed a new tire and rim... They took me in before official open time on a Saturday and provided Great service and got me fixed up quick. Saved the end of our vacation.
